Nepali Women U-19 all out for only 8 runs in ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier
In a bizarre ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup Asia qualifier match in Malaysia on Saturday, the UAE Under-19 women's team bowled out Nepal Under-19 team for just eight runs.
After deciding to bat first, Nepal was taken aback by UAE's front-line bowlers Mahika Gaur and Indhuja Nandakumar, who managed to pick up eight wickets in as many overs with the new ball between them.
Six Nepal batters were ducked out, with Sneh Mahara leading the way with three runs off ten balls. Nepal was dismissed for eight runs in 8.1 overs before the UAE openers finished the job in seven balls.
Bhutan, Nepal, Thailand, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates compete in the T20 World Cup Asia qualifier tournament. The winner will earn a place in the inaugural ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup, which will be held in South Africa in January 2023.
Nepal won its first match on Friday, dismissing Qatar for 38 runs to win by 79 runs.
